    City Lights

We've all seen the pictures trending on Tumblr, Instagram, and Pinterest of the gorgeous view of the city from so-and-so's apartment. Ever wonder what it would be like to live there? If you're like me, that's all you ever think and dream about.

Though I was raised in the suburbs, it's always been a dream of mine to have my very own apartment in the city; high enough to see all the beautiful lights that brightens the city on a lonely night.

As I currently live in Taipei, Taiwan, my dream has come true - well, half way there. My house in Taipei is in the heart of the city. On one of the most successfully built and sought after locations, my apartment can check off the box marked great location. There's no competition when it comes to convenience. With everything only a short walk away, finding a quaint place to grab lunch, a boutique shop to browse around, or a park to take a relaxing stroll won't be a problem. I sometimes feel like I'm living a Carrie Bradshaw life.

I know all of this sounds amazing, right?! Which is probably why you're probably thinking to yourself, "So why is your dream only partially fulfilled?!"

In my dreams, I really should call it a fantasy, not only does my city apartment look beautiful on the outside, but it's also beautifully furnished in a simple yet elegant fashion. Classic yet modern. Luxury yet realistic. In essence, I want people to be able  to know it's mine with just one glimpse. I don't think I'm asking for too much... And it's safe to say that, as of this moment, my place is anything but. However, that's the fun of it. Because now you get to follow me and help me redecorate!

Find out to see where I get my inspiration for each room from and how I add my own spine on things. What are the crucial pieces that tie everything together. And last but definitely not least what are alternatives suited for every occasion!

    Happy decorating
